Hickory King corn is a true heirloom treasure that has grown in our area for over 300 years. Our non-GMO open-pollinated Hickory King white heirloom corn is typically grown by us on our farm, but our most recent harvest has run out! This batch is grown by a small family seed grower in northern Ohio that has been growing Hickory King corn and other open-pollinated varieties for several generations. Once harvested, it is then dried and shelled from the cob on an antique shelling machine.
This large, robust kernel is “half flint, half dent,” known for its outstanding taste and naturally higher sugar and protein content. Ideal for crafting your own hominy, cornmeal, grits, tamales, or even traditional moonshine.
Our Hickory King corn kernels can also be used as seed corn for your own planting — a tall variety reaching 8–10 feet, perfect for supporting pole beans and other vining crops. Hickory King matures in 110–120 days and features tight shucks that naturally resist birds and earworm.
Contains 2 pounds, packed in resealable bag.

The hominy is awesome, so are the other food products they produce. Soap is great stuff too!
